Contribute to OUR Magazine Faire Magazine is a fun and faire-oriented publications with emphasis on images that build the atmosphere in the minds of our readers. We want them to feel like they're a part of an individual faire or festival, not just read about it. It is our hope to give all of our readers the chance to experience every Renaissance faire or festival without having to leave the pages of our magazine. We also want to give attention to those who are only now discovering our hobby and a nod to those who take it a little more than seriously. Our focus is clear. . . a share for the love of Renaissance faires. . . period (pardon the pun). |

| Editorial Standards Articles should be 2,000 words or less regardless of the subject matter. Exceptions to this will be made on a story-by-story basis, but they should be provided with images as specified below. Faire Reviews are the most important articles you can contribute. Remember that we want the readers to feel like they're at said festival while they read and look at the huge photos. Remember to include some of the entertainment that is unlike other faires, different foods, unique street acts, and a ratio of playtrons to paytrons. Every faire has it's own footprint, so make sure you've captured the atmosphere of the festival and why its worthy of an article in Faire Magazine. Don't forget senses other than site. Sound, smells, touch. . .they're all important in your descriptions because they're all a part of being at faire. Included in every Faire Review will be what we'll call a "scorecard." You must include the scorecard information with your faire review.
Image Standards Faire Magazine is a a very mainstream, image-oriented magazine that shows off the beauty of festivals. Large, exciting photos are necessary and the more the better! Capture not only the shows, parades, and interaction. . .but get the small details that are carved into buildings. . . How the light dances through the trees onto the grounds. . . the face of a face-painted child at the bite of a first pickle. It's those photos that bring readers to the place you're at. We'd also like to be just a bit prejudiced as to who is in your photos. We'd like to see the people in the photos, for the most part, who are in garb or costume. We want to provide our readers a look at how others are dressed and the types of outfits suited for each festival. Faire Magazine is our own little clique of Rennies. . .let the festival's own marketing include the paytron/muggle/civilians. . . we're Faire Magazine, afterall! Images should be provided in a standard graphic format at a resolution of 300dpi or better. Large images can be burned to CD/DVD and mailed to: Faire Magazine PO BOX 1231 Bear, DE 19701.
